December

There hasn't been a lot to report on this month.

Mostly, I have been working on my repertoire for this year and finalising my pieces. So far, I have 'So In Love', by Cole Porter, 'Cradle Song', and 'If Thou Wilt Ease Thine Heart', by Benjamin Britten, 'Here Amid The Shady Wood', by Handel, 'Beau Soir', by Debussy and 'Lamento', by Duparc. We have mostly been working on the Debussy piece and the Duparc piece though I have been working on the 'So In Love', in college and at home.

I don't get a lot of chances to perform at this time of year so I have mostly been practising. Normally, I would be in full Pantomime mode but this year I have decided to take a break from our local theatre group's festive show. I have been helping out with the local Sunday Club's nativity play where I have written some incidental music for them, which was fun and interesting. I am also planning to audition for a musical production one of the college group's are putting on for their project in March so we shall see how that goes... I am still teaching my piano pupils though I am still having difficulties with the youngest of the two. Have been trying different techniques to help them play both hands at the same time more comfortably but we haven't found a technique which works yet.

Basically, I have been focusing on College work and learning my pieces. I will hopefully have something more exciting to write about in my next blog.

Until next time!

Bye!
